EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND from The Angels in Charge

The old schoolmistress of the Orphan Girls' Asylum in a southern state, saw something in small Abigail that she sincerely wished to nurture and grow.  It was not to be... as that was not the direction of the Boss' agenda.  The school mistress did, however, give Abigail the seeds of what would be... just as King David was permitted to gather the material for the beautiful temple his son, King Solomon, would build.  There were others who had a hand in the project and eventually Angel 942 took over with the girl.  Miss Agnes was permitted the see the finish of her work with Abigail, though, when she was finally completed... polished... and presented.  EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND.  Historical fiction by Joann Ellen Sisco.  Available Amazon in paperback and affordable ebook.

RELIGION: EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND

John McKinney would never have thought that his life's best work would be furthering the success of others, but that was not a problem to him. The Good Book was full of similar circumstances, for instance:

There was a brother named Barnabas who brought his own brother, Peter, to the place of his success... and a cousin named John the Baptist, who was chosen to introduce the Son of God.  There was a prophet, Jeremiah, who experienced a variety of setbacks and discomforts to protect the agenda of his Boss.  Not only that, there was a mother named Naomi, who lost her entire family just to bring a widowed daughter in law, Ruth, to the place of her service.  There were two men, Joseph and Daniel, who were pulled from country and family to further the Boss' agenda in another country.  These stories are spelled out plainly in the Good Book.   The story of John McKinney is spelled out in EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND, historical fiction by Joann Ellen Sisco.  Available Amazon in paperback or affordable ebook.

EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND by Joann Ellen Sisco

The death ship reached the harbor at the new continent bringing fewer than half the passengers she started with, for the plague had been unforgiving.  Fifteen year old Nelda with an ill, seven year old sister, saw the disaster from the inside, and it would be months before the nightmares would fade away.  There would be tears, but then there was the comforting fur of the yellow dog to sop them up.  Angel 813 would have provided comfort, but the distraught girl was unable to accept it.  The dog with the comforting tongue on her arm, came from nowhere to be her friend when the girl thought she had none.  Angel 734, however, knew exactly where she was... and why.

There were lessons to be learned as well as a strange, foreign language, but Nelda was an apt pupil.  Also a desperate one.  Historical fiction by Joann Ellen Sisco.  EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND is available Amazon in paperback and affordable ebook.

The name alone was enough to draw Miss Eva Beth Hotchkiss to the  place where she could experience the fulfillment of a wish that had stirred within her for most of her long life.  Striking and obvious success in a student was the best validation a teacher can expect for her own life.  Two successful students would be twice as good!  However, a lot had to happen before Miss Eva Beth could even do her part, but she was ready when her time came.  Historical Fiction by Joann Ellen Sisco.  EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND available Amazon in paperback or affordable ebook

Inspirational Historical Fiction

In EAGLES ON THE SOUTHWIND, the migration of the eagles was only incidental to the migration of the two girls, but they shared a location and a route that would take them to an identical destination.  The eagles relied on their internal GPS as their migration path was given by their Creator, but the girls had their own help in Angel 734 as their migration path was plotted and arranged to best further the agenda of the Boss.  The eagles must strengthen their wings for the journey, but the girls required certain tests of strength and confidence, and must acquire needed skills.  Historical fiction by Joann Ellen Sisco.  Available Amazon in ebook and paperback.

CHRISTIAN HISTORICAL FICTION by Joann Ellen Sisco

The unique governmental experiment of the Land Run of 1889 created many stories and a few unintended consequences.  The race for the 160 acres of free Oklahoma prairie soil naturally attracted large families needing a place to live and young families with children.  It was years before the fledgling school system caught up with the need so until then, many systems were tried... and PRAIRIE ACADEMY, the first book of this chronology, was perhaps  one of the most unique.  All five books are contained within the series: Carlile Corners and cover the period of l895 to 1925.

THE LADY ON THE WALL, and THE OTHER LADY

Young Garnette Tanner had a certain job to do, and she was uniquely qualified, though she would be last to admit it.  She and the yellow dog made their way through dangerous territory... just like a certain lady of ancient days risked her own life for what she  knew to do.  There was help, of course, (Psa 91:11) but the courage to try was their own.  In addition, they did not have the comfort of actually seeing their help (Heb 13:2)  Would that not have been called an act of faith, for certain?  Historical fiction by Joann Ellen Sisco   LADY ON THE WALL   Amazon  available paperback or affordable ebook.
